I recently jotted this idea down for my faction's commando as a replacement for the "slide" passive ability. Most of the infantry and even commandos in the Command & Conquer titles I've played lack this ability, so I figured it would be pretty neat to take an attribute that vehicles usually have and give it to an infantry unit. A part of me says this attribute might be too powerful for an infantry unit, though. With optimal micromanagement, it may be possible to stay out of range of other commandos, and I could sense the meta of any RTS game crumble at the sound of this. It would blur the fine line established between vehicles and infantry in a competitive setting, but I'd like to hear feedback on this.
